A Simple Slice of the Good Life
A 10 Day Training Module in Old School Umbria
welcome to umbria
While it can be argued that all of Italy is beautiful and idyllic, Umbria is particularly famous for it's old cities, ancient culture & unspoiled nature. A less well known fact is that hiking, paragliding and skiing are also popular pastimes offered in any of the numerous National Parks.
If cities and history are your interest, it’s easy to visit Etruscan and Roman cities in Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio from the Villa. Real gems are within 30 to 60 minutes drive, like Perugia, Monte Castello di Vibio, Assisi, Gubbio and Todi. Also within reach, Florence, Rome, Orvieto and Siena are all within a 2 hour drive.
The kitchen is the warm beating heart of the villa and gives entry to the main terrace and the lower level. It’s fully equipped for the needs of any enthusiast home cook, but also for the lazy one. The shady main terrace with views on the garden and hills, easily hosts up to ten people. There are four bedrooms available dispersed over two levels, and two full bathrooms and a huge living room where you can cozy up or enjoy a long siesta with a good read.
The main terrace gives entry to a large part of the garden where you have a small pool at your disposal to cool off. The pool allows for mesmerizing views on the Umbrian hills and the river Tiber in the far distance. A full size pool is planned for the summer of 2017, but this Italy, and things don’t always move as fast as you plan to.
